Dental Implant Journey
01

Your Consultation

We will talk about your concerns, dental history and what you would like to achieve from treatment. Your mouth, teeth and gums will be carefully assessed so that we can determine whether dental implants may be suitable for you.

Most importantly, this is your opportunity to ask questions and understand your options before making any decisions.

02

Assessment & Treatment Planning

We will assess the health of your mouth and the area where the implant will be placed. Appropriate diagnostic records and imaging may be required to understand the available bone and surrounding structures.

Using this information, we can create a treatment plan tailored specifically to you. We will explain the proposed treatment, stages involved, anticipated timescale and costs before treatment begins.

03

Preparing for Your Implant

If you require treatment such as professional hygiene care, an extraction or another preparatory procedure, this will be discussed with you as part of your treatment plan. Taking care of these areas first helps us establish the healthiest possible foundation for your implant treatment.

04

Implant Placement

Your dental implant is carefully positioned within the jawbone under local anaesthetic. Your comfort is important throughout your appointment, and our team will explain what is happening at each stage. Following placement, the implant is normally given time to heal and integrate with the surrounding bone. This process, known as osseointegration, creates the stable foundation needed for your final restoration.

05

Restoring Your Smile

Once healing has progressed appropriately and your implant is stable, we can move on to creating your final replacement tooth or teeth. Your restoration will be carefully planned to provide the right balance of appearance, comfort and function, complementing your smile while allowing you to use your teeth confidently.

Long-Term Implant Care

Your care does not end when treatment is complete. Dental implants require excellent oral hygiene and ongoing professional maintenance, just like natural teeth. We will show you how to look after your implant at home and recommend appropriate dental and hygiene appointments to help protect your implant, gums and remaining teeth.

Our focus is not simply on completing your implant treatment, but on helping you maintain a healthy and confident smile for the years ahead.
